Vision

The key organization promotes public health research, generates the body of knowledge and develops innovation in order to prevent and control diseases and health hazards.  

Mission

1. Develop and deliver policies, strategies, knowledge management, innovations, research frameworks and accreditation in the area of prevention and control of diseases, including health hazards in accordance with Department of Disease Control and the national policies.

2. Strengthen collaborations and implementation to increase research, knowledge management, innovation, and accreditation in order to enhance efficiency and effectiveness prevention and control of diseases and health hazards.

3. Develop concrete and unique research management and support systems for research and knowledge management.

4. Harmonize research plans and collaborate with other national and international research centers.

5. Raise and manage research funds.

6. Develop guidance and support utilization of research, knowledge, and innovations for preventing and controlling diseases and health hazards particular in making the policy decision.

7. Establish measures and improve operation based on concrete evidence and evaluate achievement and cost-effectiveness of these measures.

8. Establish the Department of Disease Control museum and the Department of Disease Control Archive.

9. Provide capacity building of research, knowledge management and innovation development for research teams.

10. Develop user-friendly database system for research knowledge, innovations, and products of prevention and control of diseases and health hazards which link all information together.

11. Improve organization management and speed up organization capacity building to be the effective organization.

12. Supervise, monitor, evaluate and report overview of research, knowledge, innovations, and products of the Department of Disease Control, including research utilization in the area of prevention and control of diseases, including health hazards.
